Our congregation is a diverse group of people! Young families are blessed in the presence of those who have been around for a bit longer; and our elders are blessed to experience fellowship with the next generation of followers of Jesus Christ! It’s exciting to see generations gathered to worship God and honor Him!
Our congregation was founded in the early 1800s and was a yoke between a group of Congregationalists and a group of Methodists. Our building was built in 1843 and although there have been many changes, it has been well maintained ever since. In 1960 we officially became the Morgan United Church, when the two congregations that met in Morgan joined together as one church in 1960.
Today, we often just use “The Morgan Church” as our name; but our roots are important to us and we’ve kept our official name on most of our documents.
Our history is rich and a large historical book is available for viewing whenever you are visiting the church building. Also, a booklet regarding our history that is available upon request.
